Slalom Recognized in Application Modernization and Migration Services Report
Independent Research Firm Identifies Build as a Service as “a strong alternative to more conventional players when the emphasis is on rapid cloud-native development"
SEATTLE, October 4, 2019 – Slalom, the $1.5 billion purpose-driven consulting firm that helps organizations solve business and technology problems, announced it has been recognized in a new report by Forrester Research, a leading global research and advisory firm. The Forrester Wave™: Application Modernization And Migration Services, Q3 2019 report, an assessment of the top vendors in the market, evaluated Slalom and 13 other service providers on 26 criteria in the categories of current offering, strategy, and market presence.
Recognizing Slalom as a significant partner for AWS and Microsoft Azure, the report characterized Slalom’s approach to application modernization as “disruptive.” In a recognition of the company’s technology-building arm, Slalom Build, Forrester referred to its “Build as a Service” (BaaS) engineering philosophy as seeking to provide “benefits faster than traditional approaches” to modernization and deemed it “a strong alternative to more conventional players when the emphasis is on rapid cloud-native development.”
“We believe the Forrester Wave validates our multidisciplinary approach to driving the next generation of cloud-based experiences,” said Mike Cowden, President at Slalom Build. “As companies look to digitally transform for their next phase of growth, they’re turning away from traditional consulting models in favor of BaaS, which enables them to start building the technology products of tomorrow, today.”
Receiving the highest possible scores in the criteria of partner ecosystem and value proposition, Slalom was described by Forrester as “an excellent fit for organizations seeking to migrate to the public cloud, with a focus on reimplementation and an eye for the future of cloud-native development services.”
